Skills Australia To Provide Advice On New Skilled Migration Occupation List
On 8 February 2010 the Government announced changes to the current Skilled Occupation List. The Government has asked Skills Australia to provide advice to inform a new Skilled Occupation List (SOL) that will deliver a General Skilled Migration program that is more focused on high value skills across the professions and trades. The role for Skills Australia in providing this advice will help to ensure that decisions about skilled migration are considered in the broader context and planning for Australia's future workforce development needs.
